Everybody has a different opinion on Linux distros... it's like picking a Final Four bracket. Robert, when it comes to server implementations, I do feel like I've seen more third-party packages written to run on Ubuntu than Debian. That would be my main reason to lean towards running Ubuntu on the cloud. But that may just be my particular niche (AI/ML/Python stuff).
