Without seeing something firsthand I can guess at a few possibilities: * DVD-R vs DVD+R player compatibility: I vaguely remember this being an issue. There's some detail in this post <https://www.bestbuy.com/site/questions/verbatim-16x-dvd-r-discs-50-pack-white/4409505/question/54884ae2-1fb5-3998-8163-54f774f390f8> but I'm sure more can be learned elsewhere. * There's a chance that the media has deteriorated depending on age and storage conditions. * I believe the discs needed to be "Finalized" before being readable on a TV DVD player. * Region lock: US is Region 1. I assume that the TV station's burners specified this but problems could arise if not. A PC DVD drive should be able to cut through most of this (as long as the +/- format is correct.) If you don't have a visible VIDEO_TS folder then something definitely off. Can you see the burned region from a visual inspection of the disc? If you have disc burning software, it might go the extra mile to try to parse data that is on the disc that Finder/File Explorer would not. Handbrake (https://handbrake.fr/) reads DVD Video discs and will also transcode into a video file. It's free and might help you rule out some of the points above. Hope that helps.. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
