Rich,

This has been a problem since the inception of DVD-R. It all comes down to 1. Quality media, 2. Quality authoring. Since you already have the DVD-R and it is from a quality source, then how you author the disc is your biggest concern. If you create it with one of the low-cost software factories, you may have problems.

Subject: [Hidden-tech] What to do with DVD-R
I have a sizeable (40) batch of DVD-R from a local venue we'd like to
pass to attendees.

I've found many are DVD-R that will not read in more recent players.
Anyone have experience with various versions of DVDs ?

Is this just an issue with computer drives ?

Any suggestions who can convert to a more recent format ?
Or to a digital drive ?

Any ideas would be helpful.

R.
