I'm interested in that as well. I have a 2014 then top-of-the line MacBook Pro (retinal display, SSD, 4-year old batteries, good charger cord) that I'm told a motherboard problem causes to go dark, now within a half hour (used to be 1x per ~6 hrs). Its parts might be worthwhile to someone. Free of course.

I also have a couple of UPS (battery backup surge protectors) with no batteries, free.

Best Regards,

Hi folks,

Could someone guide me on the best way to clear personal data off a computer, but leave software on there? I have a MacPro desktop computer and a G4 desktop that I want to give away, and need to clear my files off beforehand, this week ideally.

Thanks,

Deb
