I had the same bedeviling problems of storage filling up despite deletions (on prior phone with less room), and that Google One app made the usability of actually clearing space so much easier than untangling various app storage settings to manage. As an aside, it also helped me to discover that for years I must have often hit an audio recording button that looked like other red app buttons, so I had tons of big audio files taking space outside of my manual delete methods. My Google-One helped find that problem. The small cost saved me, like, $500 in lost billable time. Some of the confusion comes from options on the camera and 'File by G' that look like Photos but isn;t Yeah - isn't tech fun. It's not about how much space I have in the Google cloud, but how I can get my actual device to notice that it has plenty of room. But it's still good to know about and I might upgrade at some point. I removed more than 4000 photos (not an exaggeration) over the past ten days, including 2000+ on one day--and it still tells me I'm almost out of storage. I have restarted multiple times and also run a cleaner utility. How do I get my space back?
