I'd suggest setting up a pop account for that email and then do 'delete from server' when done. Personally, I'd run it on in perl on a linux server - I use Mail::POP3Client - it's a pretty easy script. And then run a "delete all older than 90 days" script, on a regular basis (or 120 or even 365) You can probably run that on a perl on a mac (or windows) box. Since mac actually has a real unix shell, it's extra easy. Depending on the access to your server - it could also be as easy as do a tar or zip on the mailbox directory, that requires direct admin access to mail server.
