<p>I'd suggest setting up a pop account for that email and then do
'delete from server' when done.</p>
<p>Personally, I'd run it on in perl on a linux server - I use
Mail::POP3Client - it's a pretty easy script.<br>
And then run a "delete all older than 90 days" script, on a
regular basis (or 120 or even 365)</p>
<p>You can probably run that on a perl on a mac (or windows) box.<br>
Since mac actually has a real unix shell, it's extra easy.<br>

<p>Depending on the access to your server - it could also be as easy
as do a tar or zip on the mailbox directory,<br>
that requires direct admin access to mail server.</p>

to transfer several thousand emails off our IMAP server onto
my computer for safe keeping and reference. I tried
transferring some to the Archive folder, then realized,
they’re still stored on the server, which kind of misses the

I had to copy a bunch onto my computer (to the “On My
Computer” Inbox in Outlook) in order to change to a new
host. The huge amount of emails practically blew up Outlook,
which clearly can’t handle any significant storage. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
