[Hidden-tech] File recovery in the area?

Hi Nick,

Depending on the type of external drive, a local shop may be able to remove it from its case and try to access the data off of the external drive for you, provided it’s unencrypted. However, if you just want to jump to the best option we’ve found for the laptop drive itself, we’ve recommended Drive Savers in the past with success (though at times, it’s been at a pretty hefty cost). https://drivesaversdatarecovery.com

Subject: [Hidden-tech] File recovery in the area?

Does anyone have any recommendations for storage / hard drive recovery places in the area, that are open?

My laptop died a few weeks ago, and I'd like to recover the files on the hard drive. Unfortunately my backup external is also not taking power and is essentially unusable. I don't believe the drive is corrupted though.

Thanks!

Nick
