A few things to try, 1. is there a physical button on the laptop that looks like a stick with curved lines radiating from it? Try pressing that if there is - I've had a similar experience and, after trying everything under the sun, I tried that and it miraculously fixed everything. 2. if it doesn't or they're no button, try going to the Dell website and entering your serial # in the support section. They should have a list of all the drives and firmware uptates. 3. if that doesn't work, update windows to v10, I think it is free, it was for v8.
