Try opening Device Manager, which you can get to from the Windows Control Panel, or by right-clicking on the Computer icon on your desktop, then look for Intel(r) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 in the Network adapters drop-down list. If it doesn't show up (it should be the 1st adapter listed), you have a hardware problem, which could be a dead or disconnected card. If it shows up with a warning (yellow exclamation point) next to it, it could still be a hardware problem, but it could also be a missing or corrupted driver. Try right clicking on it, selecting Properties, and see if you can get it to update the driver. If it does show up and it says the device is working properly, you may have a network configuration problem. You can get to that through the Network and Sharing Center, also accessible from the Control Panel or by right-clicking on the Network icon on your desktop. Network configuration problems can be a pain to troubleshoot under Windows 7. As an aside, Microsoft support for Windows 7 ends next Tuesday, so you might consider upgrading to Windows 10.
