Hi Nathan and Shel,

Thank you for your input.

Nathan: You wrote: *"It is actually work maintaining a NAS as you need to
run updates and have it be in a stable secure location, ideally with UPS.
That's something for you to think about." *I am not sure what you meant by
that. I did not know anything about maintaining and updating a NAS and I
don't know what UPS is (other than a delivery service). But it may not
matter because I think I would rather use 3.5 inch drives and not the 2.5
inch ones, as I think the former are probably more robust and reliable in
the long run. Also, your 1tb drives which you mentioned are not going to
help me, as I want 10tb of storage space. So thanks for offering but I
don't think I would want to purchase your items.

Shel: I generally don't use the Mac OS so I don't think I could use the
technique you mentioned. Thanks for letting me know that I did not copy
Don in the previous email. But I called him earlier today and we talked at
some length about this whole issue of me getting an external storage
system. I am glad I spoke to him.

Best regards,

Vincent
