Hi Marcia,

If it works while plugged in but then dies when you unplug it, I would 
suspect that the battery is dead, there are lots of places that can 
replace a dead cell phone battery - usually one or two in the malls, or 
just do a search for cell phone repair. The trick will be finding one 
that has your battery, and if it will be cheaper to replace the battery 
than replace the phone.
