We are looking for an experienced Senior Graphic Design Manager to work 
in our Visual Communications department, guiding an extremely talented 
team of designers who are known for exceptional creativity. The ideal 
candidate will bring a mix of artistic, marketing, and business 
expertise to the position. The senior manager is an experienced manager 
of people, who can inspire and be inspired by others. The ideal 
candidate will have a natural eye for design and a passion for 
delivering dynamic ideas that connect with any audience. The senior 
manager is responsible for the visual quality, consistency and 
effectiveness of all branded materials, including all internal and 
external communications, collateral, and presentation materials across 
all forms of media in alignment with Company Goals and Core Values. This 
person will also be responsible for the strategy and direction of 
company-branded initiatives.

*_Roles/Responsibility:_*

  * Design development of company-wide digital & printed
    visuals/graphics such as brand materials, creative campaigns,
    marketing materials, internal/external communications, brochures,
    product packaging, e-blasts, digital ads, executive presentations, etc.
  * Creative lead on projects of significant scale and complexity.
  * Leads phases of creative development including conceptual
    development and establishment of visual aesthetics.
  * Develops strategies for both short-term and long-term creative
    initiatives.
  * Oversee the creative team by assigning, scheduling, supporting and
    mentoring staff.
  * Assist with creative team standards for production, productivity,
    quality,
    and client service
  * Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production
    of all print, and digital marketing collateral
  * Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and
    large-scale projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design,
    compelling content, and technology.
  * Ensure team and other departments adheres to our current Visual
    Communications processes, identifying opportunities for continuous
    improvement, and proposing and creating processes and tools to
    support design operations.
  * Collaborate with the Visual Communications Team and other business
    areas to develop high-quality work on time and within budget.
  * Promote innovation and creativity throughout design while balancing
    the business needs.
  * Develop presentation approaches, styles, and techniques for the team
    to implement.
  * Lead brainstorm meetings with the creative team.
  * Skilled in leading creative presentations.
  * Anticipates and resolves issues and obstacles.
  * Meets weekly with immediate team to evaluate work and discuss
    department and company issues.
  * Works with the entire creative team to continue to build a unified
    brand understanding and voice for the company.
  * Assist with delegating projects to in-house designers and oversee
    department project timelines.
  * Obtain team approval by presenting final layouts, storyboards, and
    illustrations, encouraging members to provide feedback, and
    responding to internal commentary and requests
  * Conceptualize, guide, and explain creative goals and their
    relationship to design and strategy.
  * Conceptualize campaign vision, harnessing original graphics, copy,
    content brand/design and marketing materials.
  * Develop creative briefs based on ideas established in brainstorming
    sessions with direction, schedules, and expected deliverables for
    the creative team.
  * Present or oversee presentation of final concepts and coordinate
    production and dissemination for cross-organizational use.


*_Skills and Qualifications_*

  * Bachelor’s degree in fine art, graphic design, or similar discipline.
  * 8+ years as a professional graphic designer with 5+ years of
    experience in management role.
  * Proficiency with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite
    (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Dreamweaver, etc.
  * Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
  * Exceptional capability with branding, design, typography, layout,
    and prototyping.
  * Highly skilled with leading a team of creative talent.
  * Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives.
  * Strong leadership, interpersonal, negotiation and people-management
    skills are required.
  * Demonstrated team-building experience.
  * Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and
    across all functional areas.
  * Must be able to communicate closely with team members to guide
    conceptualization and execute projects.


*_Preferred Qualifications_*

  * Prior experience as a senior manager and manager of people.
  * Agency work experience desired.
  * Experience managing diverse teams.
  * Web and animation development experience a plus.
  * Have a solid knowledge of photography and video production.
  * Product packaging experience desired.
  * Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience a plus.
