Sr. Manager, Engineering *Accountable Results:* Leads one or more Engineering Managers and their teams and/or one or more full stack software development teams that are responsible for the successful releases of one or more strategic SaaS products or services. While ensuring the software or services is developed, tested, and delivered with high quality, this leader determines the technical strategy and roadmap for the assigned products or area of responsibility. Provides hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentoring for full-stack development teams that build and enhance products for a product line. Ensures we keep the talent bar high and continuously grow the skills and capabilities of the agile teams. Provides technical leadership, insights, and motivation to multiple team, working towards delivering reliable, efficient, high quality software and hardware solutions, writing impeccable software, and delivering features, enhancements, bug fixes and other deliverables on time with required operational efficiency. *Key Activities:* - Provide strategic direction to Engineering Managers and their organizations and/or teams, tracking progress, and delivering expected successful results - Direct and manage product development from design to delivery while providing hands-on technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership in full stack development - Understand the business value, market strategy, overall architecture, performance, risks, etc., to effectively support the product roadmap (e.g. making recommendations on staffing, hardware, 3rd party software, etc.) with focus on increasing customer satisfaction - Effectively manage and communicate expectations to Engineering Managers, team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion; proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans - Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise Engineering Managers, team members and contractors, promoting accountability for assigned work; mentor Engineering Managers and team members on career growth and technical skill advancement - Drive adoption of information security best practices and the elimination of vulnerabilities found in our codebases with our static code analysis tools.
