Without knowing your exact plan and server file structure, all I can say its that, yes, you can do that, and you should use https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/ <https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/> when you make the switch to the production domain. From the looks of it, you may need to move files around again before you launch, but in general terms, there is no problem with what you're doing.
