Sounds like ram is not your bottleneck!

Is the hard drive also mid-2011?

The most impactful things I would recommend for startup speed (I recently
did this for a mid-2009 MBP) would be:

1) Replace your boot drive with an SSD. Could still use the old drive for
mass storage if necessary and it shouldn't affect startup speeds noticeably.
2) Manage your startup apps and remove ones you don't need right on start:
