The Moto G is worth barely $50 as of 6/16. To evaluate if you want to swap it yourself, search youtube for the process "replace moto g battery". The tool kits with battery to replace the battery are $18 on amazon, $12 on ebay.. And there is your time, which will take somewhat longer because it is a new process and you might be more nervous as a non-techie. If I was a non-techie, I would get a newer more capable phone and give away or sell the moto g on ebay.
