Agreed about not buying lots of domain name variants. Also, if one changes a domain name, one has to do several crucial things to ensure that whatever search engine value the current domain has is transferred to the new domain. If the current site has little search engine value (or “PageRank”), then the ~$2000 of that transferring work may not be worthwhile.
