[Hidden-tech] airport card

Diana,

 Yes, there is a separate airport wireless module in your MBP.  The issue could be the card or the antenna.  The card is a pretty easy fix, the antenna requires replacement of the screen as well.   The Apple Store @ the Holyoke mall can do the work but you need to schedule an appointment.

  I had the same issue on a MB Air, they replaced the card and it works great now.  The MB Air was out of warranty and the repair cost about $130. It took about a week for the part to come in.
