Uber is interested in profits and has shown little concern for their drivers. They lower fees don't share the losses - only the drivers take a cut. Clearly, it's part of the "extractive economy" not the "sharing economy". Drivers are a commodity not people. So even assuming they know what the insurance deal is, it doesn't mean they are interested in educating drivers about their liabilities, coverage or lack thereof. Because of their profit-taking orientation I would neither drive for nor take rides from Uber. Scott
