This is likely due to a change at your web host/email service provider. They probably installed a security patch in their email software and your outdated Eudora no longer matches the security standard that their updated email server is looking for. I have seen this before. The most recent example was when I did work for a first-time client who was running osx 10.5 and an old version of Thunderbird and it suddenly stopped working (with their comcast account). I moved them to osx 10.7 and a newer Thunderbird and then it worked fine. Please be aware that 10.5 is a drastically outdated and insecure operating system to be running on the 'net. Apple hasn't released security patches for it in probably 4 years, the security certificates are out of date and it's also vulnerable to the BASH vulnerability. Plus, you can't run the latest Java and Flash, so they are risk vectors, too. Currently, OSX 10.7 is the 'oldest' Mac OS that is still secure and you should get yourself on that as soon as possible. Next step after that would be to migrate to a mail client that is still actively developed/supported. Because Eudora may be working for you today, but it's going to stop working someday and knowing Murphy's Law, it will come at the worst time possible for you and your business. Planning and staying ahead of the curve of software is in your best interest. Sometime between 7:16 and about 10 this morning, Eudroa stoped being wlling to send mail. When I hit send, it looks like it's sending, but then the little dashes in the sending status area go back to Q (queued). It does not generate an error message, but does not send. At least two different outbound e-mail addresses are affected. Using a web-based email client (Roundcube) I can send mail through my webhost using at least one of those addresses, no problem. Internet is working fine on the Web, and Eudora can receive mail Here's what I've tried so far: Looking at Eudora Preferences to see if I can spot a change (I cant, though that doesn't mean there is one) Quitting and restarting Eudora. Shutting down and restarting the whole computer The way my workflow is structured, I rely very heavily on Eudora, so this is a major problem.
