[Hidden-tech] Electricity rates

Hi Daniel,
You and others might be interested in an excellent documentary about the
international roll-out of "smart" meters called "Take Back Your Power
<http://www.takebackyourpower.net/>" which describes/predicts a different
source of increased electric rates related to the "smart grid" which the
Mass Dept. of Public Utilities ordered all MA electric companies to get on
board with in June.
National Grid has been running a smart meter pilot program in Worcester
over the last year which has received significant criticism on health,
security and privacy

fronts. Northeast Utilities (WMECO/NSTAR) stated there was "no rational
basis" for implementing smart meters - but that was before the Dept. of
Public Utilities mandated it.
