Tom, I would suspect that Word (at least the pre-docx. version) could open that old file, which means Excel might be able to as well. Either way, you could save as Excel spreadsheet or tab-delimited table and open it in any db you want. In the Open dialog box, the default is to open Word documents. Change that to Open Any File. _________________________________________________ Shel Horowitz - copywriter, marketing consultant, author, speaker Affordable, ethical, effective marketing materials and strategies "Helping you find the sweet spot of green AND profitable" Sign the Business Ethics Pledge - Help Change the World <http://www.business-ethics-pledge.org> http://www.greenandprofitable.com / http://www.frugalmarketing.com mailto:shel at greenandprofitable.com * 413-586-2388 Twitter: @ShelHorowitz Award-winning author: Guerrilla Marketing Goes Green Blog on GreenBusiness/Marketing/Politics/Ethics: http://greenandprofitable.com/shels-blog/ _________________________________________________ On Mon, Mar 25, 2013 at 8:58 PM, tom's gmail <tomadams at gmail.com> wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > > hello, > > wondering if anyone's used www.grubba.net (or a similar online/free program) for creating their own (simple) searchable database? > > About 15 years ago I created my own very simple/basic videotape/DVD/Master/raw footage log database with a (now) old version of file maker pro.
