Does anyone know how I can get a sales tax ID? I've been in business for 12 year but haven't sold anything except my computer services so I haven't gotten a sales tax ID before. If I'm supposed to start collecting taxes next week, I am not even set up for that. Is this a simple process or something I have to get lawyer to set up? :-P I assume non-profits are exempt from this tax still? Most of my work is for non-profits. Don't I have to get a tax exempt form from them? What do I do with it, send it to the state? Damn state!
