This Tax is so vaguely described for something I'm supposed to start collecting on next week. Unlike a product that you physically sell at a location or ship to a state, how will it be determined who should pay the "services" tax. Do I have to collect for my California clients? What if I'm hosting a website but it's not hosted in MA, then do I still have to collect? If a website counts what about email marketing? What about SEO or doing a google Adwords campaign. And does the graphic design portion of a website not get taxed but the development does? And if I'm using wordpress am I really developing a website, or just changing settings and writing text. Then again copywriting, is that taxable too because it's part of a website. Wow this is some ill conceived tax law. >From now I'm selling apparel with a free website.
