Haven't heard of the problem, but Office 97? Gary, it's OK to upgrade. It's been 15 years... Try http://support.microsoft.com/kb/254233/EN-US for some possibilities. Definitely a good idea to rename NORMAL and try printing. Also, printer driver? New printer? No upgrades to Office 97, possibly to XP as well. 97 did have some interesting bugs, as I recall, that 2000 fixed. Can you print a paragraph OK? I assume you've tried different documents, different lengths, but if not, see if there is a threshold. If you are running Open Office and MS Office, there may be a conflict with an Open Office update--don't know much about that app so I don't have any immediate suggestions there. -------- Original Message -------- > From: "Gary Powsner" <bluemoon at crocker.com> > Sent: Tuesday, June 26, 2012 5:25 AM > To: hidden-discuss at mm01.tnrnet.com > Subject: [Hidden-tech] Microsoft Word v.97 printing issues in XP Pro > > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > Hi All, > > I am suddenly having a really weird issue printing from Microsoft Word 97 > or Open Office Word Processing running in XP Pro but NOT ANY OTHER > PROGRAM!
