Position:  Senior Software Engineer
Location: Amherst, MA

Responsibilities:
Product development; will be a key developer in a small team producing world-class software that makes a difference.

Requirements:

*         MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
*         10+ years experience in Java development, including 5+ years experience developing distributed Web applications.
*         Strong knowledge of object design and analysis, multi-threading, socket programming, file I/O.
*         Strong experience in J2EE and Internet technologies including JSF, AJAX, JMS, JMX.
*         In-depth understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
*         Strong programming background in Windows, Linux and Solaris environments.
*         Experience with multiple application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, etc.)
*         Database experience (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL,  Apache Derby).
*         Ability to communicate complicated ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
*         Strong desire to work with others in a team environment.

Pluses:
*         Knowledge of search system concepts.
*         5+ years C/C++ programming experience.
*         Experience in integrating software packages into existing systems.
*         System administration background.
*         Knowledge of various scripting languages (Perl, Python, Awk/Sed, Bash, etc.)
*         Willing to travel regionally with some national and/or international travel.
