I added my ipad to my property insurance policy (as my laptop is) so that if I ever drop it or lose it they replace it right away. Didn't add a lot of $ to my policy price either and certainly gives me much peace of mind. I left my iPhone in a cab recently and was so glad I had done it. __________ Sarah Meikle sarahmeikle.com 914-484-2902 __________ Sarah Meikle sarahmeikle.com 914-484-2902 On Feb 3, 2012, at 8:37 AM, john coster <john.medicineb at gmail.com> wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > A friend of mine has had a bizarre experience with two consecutive Ipads in the last few months. In both cases, she dropped them from a small height, about three feet, and the glass shattered. They were shut in their cases. Have any folks on Hidden Tech had the same experience or heard about other people having this problem? Are the manufacturers (in China I believe) using an inappropriate kind of glass? I have to say, the one I saw was really a mess. It was hard to see how dropping it from so small a height could have done such damage. Two Ipads in a few months. Ouch! That's a lot of money down the drain. Is this a wide spread problem? > > J.
