[Hidden-tech] Apple Ipad Glass breaking

Hey John,

Two of my friends have broken theirs as well, also due to drops from the 3-4 foot range, one had a case and the other didn't. To be honest I don't think it has anything to do with a manufacturing defect or design fault, iPads are just not designed to be dropped and are fairly fragile. A fall from 3 feet is enough to do serious damage to almost any laptop, smartphone, or tablet; I would say a broken screen is par for the course on a dropped iPad.

Best,
-Elijah.

They were shut in their cases. She was really peeved when the second one broke, as you can imagine, and surprised.

Are the manufacturers (in China I believe) using an inappropriate kind of glass? I have to say, the one I saw was really a mess. It was hard to see how dropping it from so small a height could have done such damage. Two Ipads in a few months. Ouch! That's a lot of money down the drain. Is this a wide spread problem?
