I mainly got info through Twitter, specifically through @wwlp and
@cbs3springfield You can access twitter through a twiitter client on
your smart phone, or have it text message updates to you.

Helpful hints to conserve cell phone battery. Turn off wifi when not
in use. Turn off 3G. Turn off bluetooth. Keep phone in airplane mode
or off when not in use.

The only radio station which I only briefly heard in the aftermath of
the storm was 99.7 which had a pretty informative PSA running for the
Springfield area.
