[Hidden-tech] How to get news in a power outage

I did not get any information from the local radio station that I usually listen to - I can't remember the call letters right. WHMP or something like that. It was very frustrating. So I listened to the updates on the Patriots game on Sunday on a Boston station, which was also depressing!
