Stefan... I'm in a similar boat, except with Peachtree. I just received yet another
notice in the mail today about their discontinuing MY ancient software from 2008
and what features will be disabled. I had been intending to switch to Quickbooks....
hmmmm

Hi Everyone,
I have been happily using Quickbooks Pro for my time billing and
invoicing needs
up until now. I just got a notice from them that they will no longer support my
"ancient" (sarcasm intended) 2008 version of Quickbooks Pro. They are enforcing
this by removing the feature of emailing a PDF invoice to my clients. This is a
wonderful feature that they will be disabling on 5/31/2011 in a
blatant attempt to get
me to pay $200 to upgrade just to keep that feature. I'm really pissed.
I am now looking for other software so that they will lose my
business. My needs are
pretty simple. I want to be able to set up clients, track time for
projects, send
invoices based on time spent and receive payments against the invoices. I would
like to be able to email my invoices to my clients in some way.
That's pretty much
it. I don't actually use any of the rest of the accounting functions
of Quickbooks.
Does anyone have any recommendations? My computer is a Windows 7 PC.
Thanks,
Stefan
