There are a lot of images throughout many websites that are syndicated many ways, and while we have looked at a bunch of different image galleries, tattoos are arranged a few different ways that are a tad tricky. Im sure its possible, but for the amount of work to convert all the websites over, with all the nuances that each have, is quite a bit of work for our very small team. In the end, the benifits of switching platforms arent worth the cost. The same budget and time could be spent improving the codebase as it exists, and get a lot farther simply because the code base is ten years old...

Well, the TattooNOW codebase has evolved from ten years of after hours drinking and programming. It works, we do over a million uniques a month through the server, but I'd like it to *work*. As I said earlier, I have been distracted producing real world events, and relying on the tools as they exist to drive the eyeballs and people through the doors. I think I need to kick it up again, I know full well when you snooze you loose! If you even need a CF to PHP guinea pig, hahah, lemme know! I bet If you can convert TattooNOW you can convert most networks!

thanks,
gabe

I've considered, and invested in, a php conversion in the past, but the system is big enough at this point the benefits aren't really worth the efforts it takes to convert. Cold fusion does everything we need, I've just had my head in running conventions for a few years and wanted to get in touch with other cold fusion programmers in the area. Dan, I'd love to chat with your brother. Mostly looking to bat around ideas. Of course its a big site, so there are always freelance opportunities too, but either way I'd like to talk geek with some programmers again, and figured this would be a good place to ask...

There was once some talk about a CF user group in the valley, I think the closest one now is in Hartford. My brother still uses CF (although he working with Railo instead of Adobe at this point). He's on the list but I'll poke him to send you an email if he misses this.
