[Hidden-tech] Safe Android Encryption?

I'd like to keep some sensitive information on my Android phone.  I figure
that if it's encrypted it's safer than having the information written on a
piece of paper stuffed in my wallet.  Does anybody have any recommendations
on the best way to do this?
