Hi Tom, Nice gig! I would go for early AM for the cleanest, clearest air, less human activity (unless you want that) and lighting that could be anything--cool misty or warm-colored depending on atmospheric conditions but should be dramatic either way--showing more contour to the land with shadows and/or pockets of fog. The bigger challenge though is getting really smooth, steady shots as the chopper creates too much vibration to support the camera conventionally. Shooting a high frame rate and slowing down in post also is a technique you'll often see used for this. Hope that helps, and I'd love to see the results! Hi all, I'm preparing for a shoot up in Prince Edward Island that involves aerials in a helicopter (which I'm really excited about). Wondering if fellow videographers have a preference for a time of day...morning/sunrise vs noon vs late day/sunset. I've done a few other aerial shoots before but not in such a fantastically beautiful location and I want to be sure I get the client the best bang for their buck :) Thanks for your input Regards, Tom Adams, Director/Owner Reelife Productions & Folktography by Tom 413.575.9707 • Williamsburg, MA Reelife Facebook Page Reelife's Youtube ChannelFolktography by Tom Facebook Page Tom's LinkedIn Page Tom's "Links Directory" -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
