David,
thanks for the info. I assume the major difference between model airplane footage & life-size helicopter aerial footage (in this case) is that a human (me) will be holding the camera thus there will be no direct contact between  the body of the camera & the flying machine - thus no wave patterns. 

Plus, you're correct, the canon d60 DSLR that I'll be using has an amazing EOS (electronic optical system) that almost completely eliminates any shake. Replaces the need for renting the $5000+ steadicam that you used to have to deal with...

btw: I love the idea of aerial ftge from a model airplane, there's some great videos on YouTube showing how effective they can be.
