Hi Susanna,

Sounds like there are issues about the Revision Control system in Google
Docs - apparently they changed how it works to the dismay of many users.
Check and make sure that it's adequate to your needs before deciding. On the
other hand, any automated system may trump a manual one. I haven't needed
very robust version control and Google Docs has served me well on several
projects that included collaboration.

Also you might look at Zoho Docs - there's a free version and it has a very
good reputation (http://docs.zoho.com/jsp/index.jsp)
