Hi, The last six months or so I have been in full SaleForce.com consulting mode. This is a truly amazing platform, but also beyond amazingly expensive. I do this work for corporations that can afford it but alas can't afford to use it myself. One thing I would like to note is that if people encounter non-profits with CRM/fundraising needs, SalesForce is not free to non-profits (up to 10 users) Onto affordable CRM. I have spent many many days, weeks and months working on CRM related issues. I have to say one of the tools I have recently found really impresses me. www.zoho.com/crm Zoho is pretty much a rip-off of salesforce (a good thing). It has many/most of the customizable features of salesforce and really only lacks in some of the deeper coding, customization needs of a larger organizations. For instance zoho allows for the creation of up to 30 custom fields on each object even in the free version. The 12/user/month version allows up to 130 custom fields per object. It incorporates power features like work-flow rules as well. This is not a strongly Web2.0 application, so on the surface users might find it not polished enough. It also has *some* complexity to it, but with that comes a lot of power and flexibility. I like it's balance of features and price point very very much. You could also look at www.batchbook.com for a nice web2.0 experience. I have not looked extensively at the Google apps or gmail integration of zoho. Batchbook does have mailchimp integration. Hope it helps. -Wes On May 20, 2010, at 5:11 PM, Val Nelson wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > HI David and HT, > I'd like CRM info too.
