Will,

Just like to add a few things...

The writer of xkcd is local, lives in Boston area.  Cool guy.  He has
come out to the valley for Pi-Con (www.pi-con.org) a few times.

Also, XKCD is at this point anything but small.  They are actually one
of the top ( second i think)  most read web comics in the US.
