To my knowledge most of Leverett now has the availability of pretty affordable DSL through Verizon or Crocker Communications. Is it still cost affordable for this neighborhood to be using this networking and sharing the cost of a T1 (and the troubleshooting costs associated)? Or does it make more sense to help them transition to private dedicated DSL lines? ~Kiernan Head Technician - Green Earth Computers www.greenearthcomputers.us Kiernan at gmail.com 413-282-TECH Membership Coordinator - Worlds Apart Games www.worldsapartgames.org On Wed, Jun 16, 2010 at 12:24 PM, David Korpiewski <davidk at cs.umass.edu> wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > Hi everyone, > In Levrett, there are a series of homes that share the internet by > having a single T1 line that comes in to one of the homes and a wireless > transmitter shares the internet with the rest of the neighborhood.
