Hi Windows Mavens... My daughter's computer is having some 'issues.' It's a basic Pentium 3 box running XP and connected to the network with a WiFi dongle. - Wireless Network shows as connected with good signal - I can ping the network router and log into the router - I can access files on other computers in the work group - But... there is no Internet connection on her machine. Browsers do not find the Internet, which, based on my other machines, IS still there. On startup an error dialog box displays saying 'Windows cannot find logon.exe...' In researching this it seems it's an erroneous registry entry which references a file that was installed by a virus and then moved. I have run several registry cleaners and registry search programs and cannot find the reference to logon.exe. Deep Sigh Heeeeelp! Please? Thanx!
