I am not sure, but I think there is an open source shopping cart plugin
for WordPress, at least I remember seeing something like that when I
was looking for PayPal plugins for WordPress.  It might even be
possible to include a WordPress-based section (just for the shopping
cart section) with her existing site without re-doing her whole site in
WordPress.
