[Hidden-tech] Digital speech recorder recommendations wanted

If they want a dedicated unit, the Zoom
H2<http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=1916&brandID=4>
gets
very high marks.  It's a bit larger than the units you can get at Staples,
but the recording quality is near studio quality.  It's a very versatile
unit that offers omni an uni-directional recording as well as an external
microphone.  It comes with a 512MB SD card, but that can be replaced with a
larger one later.

I have a friend who uses one and she swears by it (she's a professional
musician).

Just another option.
