I know that Carbonite and most likely Mozy (and in all likelihood all other serious contenders) offer robust security and encryption (see Carbonite's Blog<http://www.carbonite.com/blog/post/2008/06/Carbonite-Data-Center-Security,-Encryption-and-Redundancy.aspx>). I guess the trade-off is how secure is your office or home vs. online. I have a client who decided that it was more secure, convenient and inexpensive to drag-and-drop files to an unsecured flash drive rather than to go to an online backup. I begged to differ, but they're the client. I trust them at this point, in spite of early queasiness.
