[Hidden-tech] Help needed with hard drive Backup

Izzy - just as an aside, why don't you just take out the hard drive
for the entire time the laptop is away?

They can put in a bootable drive from their own inventory while they
do the repair. If you're not voiding the warranty by removing the
drive to back it up, you're not voiding the warranty by removing the
hard drive to keep it out of the hands of people who feel they have
to erase it as part of a repair process... right?

I'd suggest that, if you can, that you spare yourself the aggravation
finding a temp backup.

And once your laptop is returned, you will get an external drive to
back up to regularly, won't you? And incidentally, an external
powered USB case for your 2.5" drive should be readily available if
you want to do the backup yourself, now, to any friend's computer who
has the room to spare.
