Google Voice downside.... Having given some pro's (interesting features), here's a downside to Google Voice... * If you get excited about features like having an incoming call ring through to more than one of your phones simultaneously (such as office, cell, and home office), you might decide to list only your Google Voice number on your business card. But for me (in NH) and perhaps for you, the nearest available GoogleVoice number might be a toll call for your neighbors and nearby customers. (Instate toll call -- often more expensive than cross-country. You could find a low-cost 800-number provider that would ring an 800 number through to your GV number, but of course you'd be paying by the minute for that. And if you were picking up on your cell phone to go past your pre-paid minutes... * Number portability (turning your current # into a GV #) is on a list of possible features that you can add your "vote" for. * Meanwhile, the outgoing features might be more appealing than the incoming ones.
