One problem that I've been having with Google Voice is if a call comes in and I answer on my cell -- and my home voice mail picks up as well. I can hear the outgoing message over the conversation. It's like having one of those old-fashioned answering machines that didn't realize you had picked up on another extension. I don't want to turn off home voice mail because plenty of people call me directly. Haven't figure out how to fix this yet. -- maria Maria Korolov Technology columnist, Securities Industry News Editor & publisher, Hypergrid Business (hypergridbusiness.com) President, Trombly Ltd. 508-443-1130 | maria at tromblyltd.com On Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 6:25 PM, Duane Dale <duane.dale at gmail.com> wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > > Google Voice downside.... > > Having given some pro's (interesting features), here's a downside to Google > Voice... > > * If you get excited about features like having an incoming call ring > through to more than one of your phones simultaneously (such as office, > cell, and home office), you might decide to list only your Google Voice > number on your business card.
