Does it display anything other than the greenish color?  It could be the
video card or simply the monitor has died (is it a big/heavy CRT?).

Does the system make various 'noises' (clicking and whiring sounds)?  Do
the front panel light blink (eg drive activity)?  Do the lights on the
keyboard come on or flash?  Does the system box beep?
