[Hidden-tech] Anyone making standalone desktop applications to work with web based applications ?

For quick deployment, I'd just use Python, the programmer's swiss army knife
(or is that Perl? :-)  Windows installation is painless, and includes Tk (an
older but adequate GUI toolkit).  Most Macs and Linux boxes already have
Python and Tk installed.
