I've heard great things about RoR and may switch to it whole hog in a year's time, depending on how my business goes. It looks like I could re-write my hosted application in a very short time using this framework, and make it faster (it pays to have hundreds of trained, expert programmers building your blocks instead of one self-taught hack) and much cooler with the built-in AJAX and other neat tools. Plus, hosting it would be much cheaper. My best friend is an expert web programmer (Perl/HTML/CSS/databases/Ajax/etc.), and since he switched from Perl to Ruby, he thinks Ruby on Rails is the best thing since sliced bread. > >Jonathon Podolsky wrote: >> ** The author of this post was a Good Dobee. >> ** You too can help the group >> ** Fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. >> ** If you did, we all thank you. >> >> >>------------------------------------------------------------------------ >>Anyone familiar with this programming language either as a programmer or having heard about it in general? http://www.rubyonrails.org/ >>All the best, >> >>*Jonathon Podolsky* >>Producer at WholeHealthExpo.com <mailto:Producer at WholeHealthExpo.com> >>Voice: 413.584.0010 >>Toll-Free: 877.WHE.EXPO >>Toll-Free: 877.943.3976 >>Fax: 413.586.5846 >><http://wholehealthexpo.com/Winter06toSpring07Application.pdf>Whole Health Expo Website <http://wholehealthexpo.com> >> >>------------------------------------------------------------------------ >>_______________________________________________ >>Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net >>Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net >>You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list. >>If you would like to change your list preferences, Go to the Members >>page on the Hidden Tech Web site. >>http://www.hidden-tech.net/members > >_______________________________________________ >Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net >Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net > >You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list. >If you would like to change your list preferences, Go to the Members >page on the Hidden Tech Web site. >http://www.hidden-tech.net/members -------- Michael Muller Muller Technologies 24 3rd Street Turners Falls, MA 01376 work: (413) 863-0030 cell: (413) 320-5336 skype: michaelBmuller http://support.MullerTech.com Eschew Obfuscation
